thanksgiving weekend: well worth it

helloooo everyone, I’m back in the T.O. after a restful weekend in New Brunswick. let me tell ya, it was great. here’s a little play-by-play: I know you’re curious as to how the best weekend of life played out.

saturday- woke up at 8:15, hopped on the subway by 9:30, was at the airport by 11. ran into a girl from moncton in the lineup (evidently, everyone from N.B. knows each other) and my flight took off by noon. had a stopover in Montreal, and by 4:30 I was in my homeland!!! had dramatic reunions with the fam, went out for a bit with Mom as my brothers went to go see “Reveen,” a well-known hypnotist. after this, stopped by Leesh’s to pre-drink … she had Pina Colada – to which we added various fruits, making it even better. and did I mention there was a shitload of vodka? (holla!) then Mariel came over, and I started with beer, and soon everything was a blur. However, I do clearly remember showing them these videos, from the Potter Puppet Pals series… mindlessly entertaining, even if you’ve not read the books. we then headed out to O-Zone, Saint John’s newest premier hotspot. got loaded, headed over to O’Leary’s for a little bit, and had an overall awesome Maritime evening.

“Potter Puppet Pals and the Mysterious Ticking Noise”
(Quotable quote: Ron: “I’ve found the source of the ticking!”
Harry & Hermione: “Yayyy!!!”)

“Bothering Snape”
(Quotable quote: Ron & Harry: Bother bother bother bother!)

Wizard Angst
(Quotable quote: Harry & Ron:PANTELONIUS POOPICUS!)

sunday: woke up late enough … very hungover. chilled around the house, and got ready for our epic journey to Chipman. (check out the fabulous website here.) it was a long drive, and I’d travelled for at least 2 and a half hours the day before – and I was hungover. and Ben was bugging me … so I flipped out a wee bit. can you blame me? anyway, once we got there, all was jolly and fine. I went for a nature walk, and took lots of sick pics; New Brunswick’s autumn season is beyond amazing.

dinner was phenomenal; a gigantic turkey, organic pumpkin pie, and maple syrup parsnip! very good. the drive home was amazing, too. I’m so glad I saw N.B. nature, this made the trip worthwhile. when I was closer to S.J., I made a few calls and arranged a chill time with my museum homefries! well, namely Lizz and Courtney. it was glorious, minus the gangsters behind Seawood School. we even hit up the good ol’ Highway 1 Irving restaurant; where I had nachos. (thanks, Lizz!) I also had a frightening “smoothie” (I like to call them “deathies” due to their deathly sugar content) why I’m not obese, I do not know.

monday: hit up the Irving Nature Park (of course) with mom, ran the park in 42 minutes! very pleased with myself. came home, chilled about, did some homework and visited mare, it was great. had Thanksgiving dinner #2 with the fam, except it only the five of us. played in the leaves with Ben in the yard, and packed up my stuff! it was cold as shit the whole time, P.S. – holy eff!

tuesday – wake up at 5A.M. Atlantic time, 4A.M. Eastern. catch my 6:30AM (Atlantic) flight, stopover in Montreal, get there by 7:30 (a 2-hour flight.) next flight leaves an hour later for Toronto, landing an hour and 15 minutes. another shuttle took me downtown, (one hour.) skipped English in favor of getting a haircut and doing some groceries. hit up News and Current Affairs Theory … lasted only an hour. for the rest of the day, I’ve been chillin in my room doing homework, and eating. and now! I am shocked that I am able to write this articulately – there’s probably a million typos, please excuse me.

I must get to bed, however. if not for the reason I’m deathly exhausted beyond any fathomable degree, then for the reason I’m hitting up the RAC at 8AM so I can make it to my casting at 11AM for a magazine. More fall pictures coming soon! (Unavailable through facebook! oh, the exclusivity.)

Back in T.O. … and being eaten by Ryerson…
